 Sarnaki district is situated in north eastern part of Poland, in the eastern part of Mazovia Province about 20 km from town Łosice, on the crossroads of important routes connecting southern  and northern Poland as well as centre of Poland and eastern frontier.

The northern border with Podlaskie province is the Bug river. From the south Sarnaki district borders Lubelskie province. The main road no 19, which is a part of an important route connecting Finland with the rest of the Europe, goes through the territory. In Sarnaki there is a juncture roads no 19 and no 811 which lead to the boarder crossing in Terespol and Kukuryki.

Unpolluted natural enviroment and beautiful landscapes of the middle Bug valley associate the future of the region with development of tourism.
